While addressing virtual webinar, ‘Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) vs Build Back Better World (B3W): Where does Pakistan stand?’, PCI’s Executive Mustafa Hyder Sayed said that Pakistan’s foreign policy and external relations have to be driven by mutual interests, taking inspiration from China. He said that Pakistan can benefit from both BRI and B3W, by engaging with all countries across the globe as trade and connectivity ensure mutual gains. Mustafa Hyder highlighted that under CPEC projects, Pakistan has already received Chinese investment worth USD 30 billion out of a total portfolio of USD 65 billion, which is rapidly developing the country and revolutionizing its economy. He also apprised the audience about Taliban interest in joining BRI and CPEC, for regional prosperity and connectivity through trade, for which Pakistan will be at the forefront of reaping economic benefits.
