Pakistan can be a vital energy corridor through
Gwadar
Pakistan’s newly inaugurated Gwadar deep seaport
with its key location at the centre of important
regions has the potential to make the country a
vital energy corridor in the years to come. A report
in an American newspaper says Gwadar offers a chance
for Pakistan to be a global energy player.
“The potential is rich, given its prize location
near the Gulf, at the feet of the energy-rich Central
Asian states, and in the shadow of South and Southeast
Asia, which houses a third of the world’s
population and where energy demands are expected
to soar,” the report remarks.
